Chelsea vs Leicester City Match Report: The Blues' Class prevails

There are moments in matches when a fan wonders what if we lose today. In the first half it seemed quite like that when Leicester City was giving Chelsea some anxious moments. But eventually Chelsea showed all its class and won the match 2-0 to win its second match as well.

Goals: Chelsea 2-0 Leicester City
(Costa 66′, Hazard 77′)

Diego Costa was on target once again as the home team took 27 shots, with 10 on target to try and break down a stubborn Leicester team, with goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel the best player for the Championship (second division of English football) winners.

Thibaut Courtois improved on his performance against Burnley as he produced two great saves, one of them a brilliant one-on-one, to keep his clean sheet. Eden Hazard produced a brilliant solo display that was slightly assisted by a deflection from a Leicester defender to add a second. The goal was produced by dribbling from his preferred left flank as he came in towards the goal, surpassing three defenders in the process.

The first half, though, belonged to Leicester. Kasper Schmeichel is really trying live up to his father’s surname, Peter Schmeichel who was a legendary Manchester united stopper. He produced many great saves as he thwarted the Chelsea attack time and again in both halves to not make the scoreline look more disastrous for the Foxes.
