On the opening day of I-League 2017, we witnessed a double-header. And now on the second day there will be three matches. So sit back and enjoy the Super Sunday clashes. The first contest of the day will be between newcomers Chennai City FC and Minerva Punjab FC. The Chennai City FC vs. Minerva Punjab FC match will be played at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai and will start at 4:30 pm IST. Ten 2 will telecast the Chennai City FC vs. Minerva match live, and online streaming of the match will be available on the official website of Ten Sports here. However, fans will have to pay a nominal subscription fee to watch the live streaming.
Chennai City FC and Minerva Punjab FC will be making their I-League debut and both the teams will be looking to start their campaign on a positive note. Indian Bank participated in the National Football League (NFL) in 2004 and since then Chennai has had no representaion in national leagues, excluding Indian Super League (ISL).

Robin Charles Raju takes charge of the Chennai City and will be managing for the first time in the I-League just like his counterpart Surinder Singh. The Chennai side will have services of defender Dharmaraj Ravanan. Apart from him, the squad has Karanjit Singh, Zakeer Mundampara and Dhanpal Ganesh who have been part of ISL franchise Chennaiyin FC. As far as the foreign players are concerned Brazilian duo of Marcos Thank and Charles are part of Chennai City FC squad.

Nigerian striker Joel Sunday is one such player as he holds the key for Minerva. He will have players like Marcus Lopez, Munmun Lugun and Manandeep Singh sharing the responsibility.
