Something remarkable happened few days ago when Somerset took on Kent at Taunton in a T20 Blast Match. No, we are not talking about Chris Gayle’s impressive 62-ball 151, but a fan present at the ground did something unusual.
The County Ground Taunton is situated near the River Tone and during Gayle’s mammoth knock one of the shots landed in the river. The Somerset fan named Martin Bullock later dived into the river to get the ball back.

Impressed by Bullock’s efforts Gayle later signed the ball for him.

Chasing a daunting target of 228, Gayle blasted a 45-ball century. The left-hander remained unbeaten on 151 off just 62 balls but could not help his side cross the line. Somerset fell just four runs short of the target and were restricted to 224 for seven in 20 overs. Gayle’s inning included ten fours and 15 huge sixes.
