Out of favour West Indies cricketer, Chris Gayle was spotted hugging Mumbai Police officials in the streets of Mumbai recently, where he was present for a promotional event. Gayle is known to be a party animal off-the-field and loves his cricket on the field as well, an out an out entertainer. Gayle is very familiar to India and its people as he has been an IPL veteran. Currently, the Windies team is in India but he is not a part of the national squad. Gayle, who also has a huge fan following in India, took his fans by surprise when he took to Instagram to share a few photographs. And this is exactly what surprised his fans. He also captioned the picture as, “GreatFull – ThankFull – I Love India!!”
Looking at the pictures one gets the feeling that the police officials totally loved the cricketer’s presence. Gayle was recently a part of the Balkh Legends outfit in the Afghanistan Premier League, where his franchise went on to win the League title.
Meanwhile, after blanking the touring Windies team 2-0 in the two-match Test series, Virat Kohli’s India has taken a 1-0 lead in the five-match ODI series as well.
“Firstly, I would love to congratulate him. 10000 runs are such a big milestone and he is the fastest to it as well. I must say well done, it is a great achievement and I continue to wish him more success. This shows that what all hard work and dedication can get you, what rewards it can get you. I am sure a lot of people will follow his footsteps, in India and around the world,” Chris Gayle quoted in a video by CricketNext.
