Openers KL Rahul and Mandeep Singh shared an unbeaten century-run stand to chase down the total without any fuss. Mandeep slammed unbeaten 52 off 40 balls while Rahul, who was removed for a first-ball duck in the opening T20I, remained unbeaten on 47. Earlier, Zimbabwe after opting to bat first were handed disappointment with Indian fast bowler Barinder Sran wrecking havoc at the top. Zimbabwe kept struggling after Sran’s burst and never actually recovered. Jasprit Bumrah picked three wickets towards the end and that further dented Zimbabwe. While Sran finished with figures of 4/10, best by an Indian bowler on T20I debut, Bumrah ended with 3/11, becoming the highest wicket-taker in T20Is this year so far.

Spinner Yuzvendra Chahal and fast bowler Dhawal Kulkarni picked one wicket each. Axar Patel was impressive as well though he finished wicketless.

The two teams now meet in the third and final T20I on Wednesday and that will decide the winner of the series.
