Former BCCI Chief Anurag Thakur tendered an unconditional apology before the apex court on Monday in connection with initiation of contempt proceedings against him. The case will be again heard on April 17. Thakur has been granted relief from physical appearance in court till the next hearing.

Earlier SC on January 2 had slammed BCCI for not implementing the Lodha Commission recommendations,. It had removed Anurag Thakur and Ajay Shirke from their posts. A four-member Committee of Administrators (COA ) lead by Vinod Rai was appointed to run the day to day proceedings of BCCI and to ensure that Lodha panel recommendations are implemented properly.
