Paraguay would be pumped up going into the semi-final clash following a shock upset of Brazil in the quarterfinals. Argentina will be no easy opposition, with Lionel Messi slowly finding his groove in the national colours. Alongside Carlos Tevez, Sergio Aguero and Gonzalo Higuain, Messi forms one of the most potent forward lines in the tournament.

Javier Mascherano and Angel Di Maria will be the key players on either ends on the midfield, with Marcos Rojo, Pablo Zabaleta, Martin Demichelis and Nicolas Otamendi completing the defence line. Sergio Romero has emerged as one of the finest goalkeepers in the world over the last few years and played a key role in Argentina’s progress to last year’s world cup final.

While Paraguay would look to prove their worth by causing yet another major upset, Argentina would want to get closer to their third Copa America title and wipe out the memories of the world cup loss last year.
