In the wake of the 21-day lockdown in India following the rise of coronavirus pandemic positive cases, India allrounder Ravindra Jadeja on Thursday pulled out an old video to caution citizens and spread awareness of how to fight the deadly virus. Jadeja shared an old video of Australian Usman Khawaja’s run out against India in 2019 at the Adelaide Oval in the first ODI. Khawaja had cut the ball in the front of the point and taken off for a run, Jadeja, who is one of the best fielders in the world, was quick to the ball and picked it up with one hand and hit the stumps at the non-striker’s end direct, to run out Khawaja. Most of the sporting events have been called off or postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic that has brought the world to a standstill.
The Indian Premier League (IPL) which was scheduled to start after April 15 is now at risk with the Indian government now announcing a 21-day lockdown in the country. This lockdown will go on till April 15, putting the IPL 2020 at a risk. Though, there hasn’t been any official word from the BCCI.
Meanwhile, the Tokyo Olympics have also been postponed until 2021 and the IPL could go the same route.
