Serie A (Italy’s top-flight football league) club Juventus are now the only undefeated team amongst Europe’s various league competitions. The Bianconeris have lost on a couple of occasions to Manchester United in the Champions League and more recently, to Atlanta in Coppa Italia but not once have they returned without a point in the league. After Paris-Saint Germain’s defeat against Lyon in the French league, the Cristiano Ronaldo-led Juventus are the only club who maintains an immaculate record in the league.

Coached by Massimiliano Allegri, the defending champions boasts a record of 19 wins, 3 draws and 0 losses so far. In all likelihood, Juventus are going to retain the Italian league title in the current year’s campaign.

This utter domination has come at the wake of some tactically-sound transfer recruitments in the summer, which was highlighted by the purchase of 100 million euros-rated Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid.

The star Portuguese footballer’s transfer took footballing world by storm, for many, the move came as a shock as there was no word from either of three parties (Real Madrid, Juventus, and Ronaldo) involved in the speculation. Having won the Ballon’Dor on five occasions, Ronaldo retired from Real Madrid as their all-time top scorer. He scored 450 goals and registering 119 assists in 438 appearances, averaging 50 goals scored per season.

Ronaldo Scored 33% of Real Madrid’s 1378 goals in last 9 seasons, with 40+ goals in 8 of those seasons. He has maintained the same form, at the age of 33 in a new country and a new league – 17 goals in 22 appearances registered so far.

In football, with great players, comes huge paychecks which the parent club bears. And Ronaldo – one of the richest sportspersons in the world – did not come cheaply for Juventus.
