Dabang Delhi registered their maiden PKL victory.

Dabang Delhi K.C registered their maiden victory in their opening match at the Pro Kabbadi League beating Jaipur Pink Panthers by 30-26 in Hyderabad in the first match of the evening on Saturday.

‘Player of the Match’ was announced Dabang Delhi K.C’s Nilesh Shinde with seven tackles. Dabang Delhi K.C’s Meraj Sheykh received ‘Perfect Raider’ while the ‘Sahi hai Player’ award was given to Jaipur Pink Panthers’ Jasvir Singh.

Dabang Delhi outfit at one point of the match was struggling as Jaipur Pink Panthers were away ahead of them. However, just minutes before the half time they turned around the match in their favour as they leveled Jaipur Pink Panthers’ points tally 18-18. In the first half it seemed that Jaipur Pink Panthers will win the match by a big margin but in the second things have proved otherwise. Iranian raider Meraj Sheykh has scored seven points in seven successful raids while his teammate Nilesh Shinde scored five points.

In the second half, Dabang Delhi kept their lead intact in the match. However, desperate attempts from Jaipur Pink Panthers’ Pawan Kumar helped Jaipur Pinks Panthers to square the score line 21-21. After that, Dabang Delhi didn’t look back as they cruised to victory. In the dying minutes of the match, Meraj and Nilesh have gained points in a row to ensure Dabang Delhi’s maiden victory before Jasveer Singh reduced the margin of defeat.
