India vs Australia 1st Test: English cricketer Danielle Wyatt’s reaction to India captain Virat Kohli’s shot in the net shows again that she is an ardent fan of the cricketer. It was a shot Kohli played against Kuldeep Yadav in the nets in preparation for the Adelaide Test. Kohli stepped down the track and smashed Kuldeep towards the deep midwicket boundary. He got to the pitch of the ball and the connection was terrific where he timed it from the middle of the bat. The English cricketer took to Twitter and reacted to the shot, she wrote, “Boom”.
Meanwhile, India’s hopes will be pinned on Kohli for the upcoming four-match Test series starting December 6. Kohli is currently the No 1 batsman in Tests and ODIs.
Earlier in the day, BCCI announced a 12-man squad for the first Test and Rohit Sharma found a spot in that. He would be expected to open against Australia in the first Test.
The pace battery for India includes Md Shami, Ishant Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, whereas Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Umesh Yadav have not been picked.
On paper, India starts favourites but Kohli has made it clear that they will not take the hosts lightly.
