Deodhar Trophy 2018-19, India A vs India C, 3rd Match: It was extremely hilarious for fans when India A batsman Ankeet Bawne walked out to bat with just one glove during a Deodhar Trophy match. When he realised he was coming out with just one glove, he requested his teammates to give him the other glove. Finally, his mates obliged and hurled the other glove before he walked into the center. His innings tough did not last for long as he was dismissed off the very first ball he faced.

The incident took place in the 45th over after Dinesh Karthik was dismissed for 32.

Here is the hilarious video.

Meanwhile, Shubman Gill’s maiden Deodhar Trophy ton helped India C win the match by six wickets. Gill remained unbeaten on 106 off 111 balls. His memorable knock comprised of eight fours and three sixes. The U19 star has been taking giant strides in cricket ever since he helped India lift the U19 crown in New Zealand earlier this year. He was also picked up by Kolkata Knight Riders for the IPL, where he scored a brilliant fifty as well, just showing that he was not over odd by the situation.

One of Gill’s three sixes came off Ashwin as the teenager showed no fear in depositing the experienced off-spinner into the stands over mid-wicket.

The attractive batsman punched and drove beautifully and used the sweep shot to good effect. Suryakumar Yadav too was unstoppable, hammering three fours and four sixes in his entertaining 69-run knock, also making Gill’s job easier.

Earlier, India C had a daunting task to chase down 294 considering their opponents scored the highest total of the competition. The start provided by India C captain Ajinkya Rahane (14 off 25) and Abhinav Mukund (37 off 40) was slow and did not help the team’s cause. But Gill and Yadav got together and ensured that an emphatic win for their team.
