At the recently concluded BCCI Annual Awards 2014, former captain and national selector Dilip Vengsarkar, man-of-the-moment Rohit Sharma who blasted Sri Lanka for the record double century innings in ODI history received the prestigious BCCI top honours on Friday. Dilip Vengsarkar recieved BCCI-instituted Col. C K Nayudu Lifetime achievement award for his immense contribution to Indian cricket. While a special award was given to Rohit Sharma for scoring a world record ODI score of 264 in the fourth and penultimate match of the five-game series against Sri Lanka earlier this month. India’s rising pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar received the Polly Umrigar Award and  BCCI Cricketer of the Year.
