Dipika Pallikal, Harinder Pal Sandhu in JSW Challenger Squash Circuit final

Top seed Dipika Pallikal lived up to her stature as she entered the women's finals of the JSW Challenger Squash Circuit tournament here Saturday, defeating South Africa's Cheyna Tucker 11-3, 11-6, 11-3 in 36 minutes.

Mumbai, Oct 18: Top seed Dipika Pallikal lived up to her stature as she entered the women’s finals of the JSW Challenger Squash Circuit tournament here Saturday, defeating South Africa’s Cheyna Tucker 11-3, 11-6, 11-3 in 36 minutes. Pallikal takes on winner of previous two rounds of the Challenger series – Egypt’s Nouran El Torky who overcame France’s Laura Pomportes 11-8, 13-11, 8-11, 11-9 in a marathon match that lasted an hour.

In the men’s category, Egypt’s Shehab Essam Hosny qualified for the final overcoming Ammar Altamimi from Kuwait 11-6, 7-11, 11-3, 11-3 in 50 minutes. He will take on Harinder Pal Sandhu who beat Karim El Hammamy of Egypt 9-11, 11-8, 11-7, 12-10.
