Double Centurion Fakhar Zaman Creates History: Here’s How Twitter Reacts to His Incredible Feat

As Fakhar Zaman becomes the first Pakistan batsman to score a double century in OODIs, Twitteratti was abuzz with left-hander's record-breaking double ton against Zimbabwe.

Continuing his golden run of form, Pakistan batsman Fakhar Zaman created history on Friday as he became the first player from his country to hit a double century in one-day internationals. During the fourth ODI against Zimbabwe, Zaman scored an unbeaten 210 to power the green shirts to their highest-ever total of 399/1 in ODIs.

With this knock, the 28-year old also surpassed his countrymate Saeed Anwar (194 vs India) to record the highest-ever score by a Pakistan batsman in one day cricket. Overall, Zaman became the sixth batsmen in the world to achieve this incredible feat. He joined the likes of Rohit Sharma, Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Martin Guptill and Chris Gayle in the list.

Earlier, the visiting openers blazed to a world one-day record 304-run stand, which was also Pakistan’s biggest partnership for any wicket in ODIs. The final total was their biggest ODI innings. The first-wicket partnership broke the record of 286 set by Sanath Jayasuriya and Upul Tharanga for Sri Lanka against England at Headingley in 2006.
