England Cricket Board faced the ire on social space for using an image from a rock concert in Miami to market the upcoming ‘The Hundred’ competition. The hundred competition has been garnering all the positive reviews but with an error in picking the right image to promote the event, seems like ECB has got it wrong. The 100-ball cricket is a very new idea and required smart promotion which does not seem to have happened. They are receiving flak from all corners. Chief executive, Tom Harrison said: “I respect the fact there are some pockets of resistance, that’s no surprise to any of us, it was the same when we launched T20 17 years ago, it was the same every time something has been done that disrupts cricket. But we will do everything we can to excite cricket fans about this. I think cricket fans are going to love it.”
