After a break, which followed World T20 2016, international cricket is all set to resume. And its begins with Sri Lanka touring England for a full fledged series. The teams then will square off in a five-match ODI series, which begins from June 21, 2016, to July 02, 2016. Sri Lanka’s tour of England ends with a one-off T20 at Southampton on July 05, 2016.

Last time Sri Lanka was in England, it emerged winners in Test and ODI series. However, the team then had services of seasoned campaigners Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene. Things, this time, are expected to be different for the visitors.
England is ranked fourth in the ICC Test rankings while Sri Lanka occupies seventh spot. In team rankings for ODI, both sides are placed neck to neck with Sri Lanka on fifth and England on sixth. In T20I, England are fifth-placed and Sri Lanka at eighth following their dismal performance in the World T20 2016.
