FOUR, Half-volley from Willey and Chahal ekes out a traditional straight drive. He did it well and it beat a running Stokes from long-on to the fence. Raises his bat in acknowledgment. Has a big smile on his face as well.

OUT! Ben Stokes removes MS Dhoni for 37. It’s a sad end of Dhoni’s struggling innings. He never got going from the moment he stepped onto the pitch. It was lower one from Plunkett, dragged it on a good length and Dhoni went for the slog which was caught in deep mid-wicket. India 215/8 in 46.1 overs vs England (322/7) at Lord’s

10000 ODI runs for MS Dhoni! Magnificent achievement for the former India captain. He joins an elite club of cricketers. Only the 12th player ever and 4th Indian to achieve the feat. How he would have wished that this milestone came in a winning cause but doesn’t seem so. IND 207/7 in 42.2 overs vs ENG (322/7)

IND vs ENG 2nd ODI Latest Score and Updates: India will look to continue with their winning run and clinch the series when they take on England in the second ODI of the three-match rubber at Lords, London on Saturday. The visitors, who have been on a roll, would be high on confidence after their emphatic eight-wicket win at Trent Bridge in the opening match.

Kuldeep Yadav, who took the best-ever figures (6/25) for a spinner in an ODI in England, and Rohit Sharma, who struck a typically graceful century, were India’s stars in their trouncing of Eoin Morgan’s side and the hosts must act decisively if they are to avoid a repeat performance and a series defeat.  If Virat Kohli and company claim victory at Lord’s, the series will be sealed and they will be one win away from taking the top spot from England in the ICC ODI Team Rankings.

The batting department for India looks well settled with the top order in prime form. But the middle and lower-order is yet to be tested. In the bowling department, Kuldeep continued to remain a headache for English batsmen. In the shortest format also and now in the 50-overs game as well.

Meanwhile, England have many things to work on. Their batsmen have failed to click in unison and the bowling department also seemed to be struggling as no bowlers were able to put pressure on India batsmen.
