Hosts England thrashed Pakistan in three days at Leeds by an innings an 55 runs to square the series at 1-1. But, what hogged the limelight was the bat used by Jos Buttler.
Well, Buttler was using a bat in which the ‘F-Word’ was written. That took everybody by surprise as Twitter erupted with comments bashing the English cricketer. So how did the image get spotted and captured?
During drinks break, Jos placed his bat on his helmet ans he went to grab a drink. That is when the shutterbugs saw the writing and the rest as they say is history. The image instantly went viral.
Jos Buttler has been in good form in the IPL season and England will be hoping he replicates the same for his national side.
So, what is the reason behind such a remark on his bat? How did it happen? Who wrote that?
Apparently, in 2015 when Buttler was going through a poor run of form, he wrote it on his bat himself. He was also axed from the side on the back of his poor form. His failures against Pakistan in UAE dragged his poor form to 12 innings without a fifty.
That seems to be the story that is coming out. Meanwhile, Buttler was also adjudicated the Man of the Match for his unbeaten 80 with the tail. His 80 came off merely 101 balls, which is outstanding in Tests.
The English bowling was so good that none of the Pakistani batsman managed to score a fifty in the Test match.
It will now be pressure on the visitor’s to erase the memories of the Leeds Test and start afresh for their next assignment.
