New Delhi: Manchester United produced another dominant performance and continued their fantastic goalscoring start to the season as they beat Crystal Palace 4-0 at Old Trafford to go top of the English Premier League table.

The Red Devils led after only three minutes when Marcus Rashford, beat Palace’s defender Joel Ward with some excellent skill before setting up Juan Mata, who steered home from 10 yards out.

Later, in the 35th minute of the game, Marouane Fellaini volleyed in Ashley Young’s cross to double United’s lead. The home team went into the second half with two goals lead. Fellaini was once again on scoring sheet as he scored his second goal with a close-range header from Rashford’s free-kick early in the second half.

Romelu Lukaku then put the final nail in the coffin when he converted Anthony Martial’s cross from close range in the 86th minute. It was Belgian’s 11th goal in 10 United games.

The Red Devils commanded Palace throughout the match and they are still unbeaten in the current season. While, Crystal Palace, on the other hand, have lost all seven PL games this season without scoring.

Also, no team in 129 years of the Football League had ever lost their first six league games without scoring – until Palace reached that landmark last week. That record is now extended to seven matches.
