New Delhi: Manchester United registered their third win a row by defeating Leicester City 2-0 in the English Premier League clash on Saturday. Substitutes Marcus Rashford and Marouane Fellaini broke Leicester down in the final quarter after Kasper Schmeichel saved a Romelu Lukaku penalty.

United were dominating from the opening minute of the game and the Red Devils kept most of the possession, while making sure that they don’t lack in attacking. However, even after getting close numerous times, United failed to break the deadlock in the opening half of the game as Juan Mata’s goal was wrongly called offside.

In the later half, United increased their frequency of attacks and Rashford, three minutes after coming on, found the back of the net when he converted Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s corner. Later in the 82^nd minute, midfielder Fellaini stuck out his knee to divert fellow substitute Jesse Lingard’s drive past Leicester ‘keeper Schmeichel.

Meanwhile, the Foxes were finding it hard to break United’s defensive line and they failed to convert some good chances that came their way.

United are still leading the EPL points table with 9 points from three games and until now, in this season, they are the only side to have won all three of their opening league games, while they are yet to concede a goal.
