Barcelona’s most valuable player Lionel Messi has been included in the squad who will travel to Milan for the Champions League tie against Inter Milan at the San Siro Stadium on Tuesday.
The Argentine forward fractured his left arm in Barcelona’s clash against Sevilla in the La Liga on 20th October and it was estimated that he would be out for approximately three weeks.
However, the striker has not yet been declared fit and it is highly unlikely that he would be risked against Inter Milan.
FC Barcelona took to Twitter to confirm the news, “Leo Messi travels to Milan without the medical all-clear,” the club posted on their Twitter account stated on Sunday.
Messi had also trained the same day, along with other players not involved in Barcelona’s remarkable 3-2 comeback victory over Rayo Vallecano on Saturday.
In a commendable record, Barcelona have won all of their last four matches without Messi, highlighted by a 5-1 thumping victory against arch-rivals Real Madrid and also a 2-0 win over Inter at the Camp Nou last month. In the Group B of the UEFA Champions League 2018-19 campaign, the Catalan club are three points ahead of the Italian side Inter Milan.
