Well let’s start with what the reporter asked, “In the first match I gave you the good luck charm that my mother gave me, I’m not sure if you kept it or threw it away.” To which Messi replied took out his socks and showed the red string tied to his ankle and said, “Look”.
Once Messi has made the reply, the reported got confused and all he could say is “Sorry?”. A gleeful Messi responded, “For real.” The reporter further asked him, “For real? You put it on your leg?”, to which the footballer replied, “I wanted to say thank you.”
After that Messi left and Pantorotto turned towards the camera and said, “Ma, my dear, he put the string on his leg.”
