FIFA World Cup 2014 has had many hits, many misses but there have been tears of grief and joy that have fueled the most entertaining month of the festival of football which happens once every 4 years. Despite ugly mishaps, the World Cup has given us memories which seem so fresh it seems like the tournament started yesterday.

Germany defeated Argentina with the hopes of the Fatherland seeing the glitter of night and the Argentine people leaving the stands teary eyed but the match did pick up the pace in the second extra time with both sides giving it their all and playing with heart and we could all see it.

The final minutes before the match was to be declared a Germany victory saw a free kick near the German goal given to Argentina which was taken by Lionel Messi but the missed shot sealed their fates and the Germans celebrated their fourth World Cup victory thanks to Mario Gotze’s 113^th minute goal.
