Baroda all-rounder Yusuf Pathan revealed this news on his official Twitter account, wishing for the speedy recovery of Martin, who has coached Baroda in the 2016-17 season. Martin made his debut against West Indies in Toronto in 1999 and has played 10 ODIs between 1999 and 2001, in which, the Gujarat based cricketer scored 158 runs at an average of 22.57. The 46-year-old used to play for Baroda in the domestic circuit. He scored 9192 runs off 138 matches at an average of 46.65 in his first-class cricket career. He played his last first-class match in 2009.
Meanwhile, in the last Group A match of Ranji Trophy, Baroda thrashed the visitors Karnataka by two wickets and ended their group stage campaign by grabbing 26 points, the same as Gujarat. Whereas, Karnataka ended with 27 points and are still likely to get into the knockouts.
