Like the Indian Premier League, it seems Canada is coming out with their own version, the Global T20 Canada. Well, this year will be the first edition of the T20 League, which is scheduled to be held from 28 June to 15 July 2018. The player draft took place on June 3, 2018. A total estimate of 1,600 players registered for the draft, with 600 of those from Canada. Cricket experts are calling it the next big thing in cricket, they also claim it will pip IPL with it’s viewership, which we doubt. Star players like Shahid Afridi, Chris Gayle, Lasith Malinga will be a part of it among others. Tainted cricketers Steve Smith and David Warner are also set to make comebacks.
