Happy Birthday, Bhuvneshwar Kumar: Indian pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar turned 29 and is currently in New Zealand on tour. His teammates made it a point to make the day special for their colleague. So, a cake was brought and the birthday boy was supposed to cut the cake. But as he cut the cake, Chahal and Khaleel were right in his face with a big chunk of the cake as Dhoni held onto his hands from behind, so that he does not escape. The plan was carried of succesfully as Bhuvi received a cake smash on the eve of the 1st T20I against New Zealand at Wellington.

All the three cricketers are expected to make the cut in the starting XI at the Westpac Stadium. By the looks of it, seems like Dhoni and Pant both will feature and given the form Chahal and Bhuvi have shown they will be obvious picks. Khaleel is also expected to make the cut as the team may give Shami a break after a phenomenal ODI series.

Meanwhile, India stand-in captain Rohit Sharma is on the verge of two massive world records. He has the chance of becoming the leading run-getter in T20I cricket. He needs 36 runs to go past Martin Guptill. The Indian captain could also join Guptill and Chris Gayle to become the third cricketer to hit 100 sixes in T20I cricket. Gayle and Guptill have hit 103 sixes, whereas Rohit has 98 to his name.
