Happy Children’s Day 2018: It is not every day that one gets to see discarded India opener Gautam Gambhir cracking a joke, but it seems the occasion of Children’s Day got to him as he trolled himself over his dismissal in the ongoing Ranji Trophy game, where Delhi is hosting Himachal Pradesh. Gambhir, who is usually a very serious character on and off-the-field took to Twitter and let the world know of a conversation his daughters Anaiza and Aazeen had. Gambhir’s post read, ““Anaiza to Aazeen: Didi, how did papa celebrate Children’s Day? Aazeen replied: Well, today in the Ranji Trophy match he got run out like a kid!!!! Earlier, Gautam Gambhir succumbed to lazy running during an ongoing Ranji Trophy match against Himachal Pradesh. Gambhir landed his bat, but replays showed he had not crossed the line and was dismissed for 49 off 52 balls. His innings comprised of seven fours and a six. Gambhir was dismissed with the score on 102 when Dhruv Shorey flicked a ball towards mid-wicket and was coming back for the second. The throw was at the non-striker’s end where Gambhir was running, the ball was thrown by Pankaj Jaiswal and Rishi Dhawan managed to take off the bails. Replays showed Gambhir was shot of his ground and he had to make the long walk back to the pavilion.
