Hardik Pandya, KL Rahul Suspended Until Final Adjudication

In a mail written to Pandya and Rahul, the Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA) confirmed that both cricketers will be out of action until final adjudication in the matter.

Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA), which runs BCCI has suspended both the Indian cricketers Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul on Friday, following their controversial remarks on women in a celebrity chat show. In a mail written to Pandya and Rahul, the CoA confirmed that both cricketers will be out of action until final adjudication in the matter.

Here’s what they mailed:

“You are aware that enquiry and proceedings against you for misconduct and indiscipline have been initiated under Rule 41 of the BCCI Constitution and the same are presently pending.

In terms of Rule 41(6) of the BCCI Constitution, you are hereby suspended with immediate effect from participating in any manner whatsoever in any match or function or event or activity that is authorized, organized, sanctioned, recognized or supported in any way by the BCCI, the ICC or any State Association, until final adjudication of the matter.”

Earlier in the morning, Virat Kohli Kohli also made it clear that controversial comments made by Pandya and Rahul which has left them facing a suspension, are not acceptable and the personal opinions are not the view of the India team. “We as the Indian cricket team and responsible cricketers don’t align with those views, those were individual opinions,” Kohli said at a press conference ahead of the first ODI against Australia in Sydney.

meanwhile, Australia have already announced their playing XI, with veteran pacer Peter Siddle and all-rounder Glenn Maxwell making a comeback in the ODIs. Here’s the playing XI of the hosts:
