New Delhi: The Mumbai Indians are currently facing the Lucknow Super Giants in the second match of the season at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. Hardik Pandya is leading the MI side in this game, and he has been in excellent bowling form since the tournament started. He has become the first-ever captain in IPL history to take a five-wicket haul. This marked Hardik Pandya’s maiden five-wicket haul in T20 cricket. His previous best bowling performance in this format came while playing for India, where he took 4/16 against New Zealand in Ahmedabad in 2023.

Hardik Pandya has also set a record as the first captain to claim three or more wickets in an innings for two different teams. His first three-wicket performance as captain was for Gujarat Titans against Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2023.

Additionally, Pandya has become only the second Indian captain to take 30 wickets in IPL history. If he takes one more wicket in the upcoming matches, he will surpass Anil Kumble and become the Indian captain with the most wickets in IPL history.
