Both Geeta Phogat and Sakshi Malik are household names in Indian wrestling. While Sakshi made India proud by clinching the bronze medal this year at Rio Olympic Games, Geeta won the coveted gold medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games.
These two stars of Indian wrestling have often squared off against each other. Even before the Rio Olympics, during the trials, the two wrestlers had to face off, and it was Sakshi who emerged as the winner. However, a video of a bout between Geeta and Sakshi posted on YouTube in 2015 has now resurfaced post the the success of movie Dangal. The Aamir Khan starrer Dangal, which is running successfully all over, is based on Mahavir Singh Phogat and his daughters Geeta and Babita. In the close to ten minutes video grapplers Geeta and Sakshi are seen fighting against each other. Eventually, it is Geeta who emerges as victorious. The video, posted on July 10 2015 has received over eight lakh views till now and is going strong.

Both Geeta and Sakshi are part of the upcoming season of Pro Wrestling League (PWL 2017) and are expected to square off against each other once again. While Geeta is part of UP Dangal franchise, the Rio Olympics bronze-medallist Sakshi will represent the Delhi Sultans franchise.
