India take on Bangladesh in the second semi-final of the ICC Champions Trophy on Thursday. Bangladesh have picked themselves after a humiliating loss against England in their opening match. They were lucky against Australia after the match was washed out.
However, they hammered New Zealand to storm into the semi-finals.
India, on the other hand, have had a decent tournament. Barring an aberration against Sri Lanka, India looked comfortable in the matches against Pakistan and South Africa.

-2007 ICC World Cup: Bangladesh beat India by 7 wickets
After restricting India to 191, Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal propelled into the limelight with his brilliant knock dashing all hopes of an Indian win.
Tamim’s display showed his batting prowess. India ultimately succumbed ton Bangladesh’s superiority and crashed out in the group stage.
-2009 World ICC Twenty20: India beat Bangladesh by 25 runs
A brilliant for India in the first edition of the 2007 T20 World Cup, there was a lot riding on the defending champions in 2009. However, they didn’t live up to the expectations in the tournament but they did beat the Bangla Tigers in their group stage opener.
Gautam Gambhir’s half-century coupled with Yuvraj Singh’s quick-fire 18-ball 41 helped India reach 180/5 in 20 overs.
Debutant Pragyan Ojha bowled a match-winning spell of 4/21 to ensure India emerged as victors in the match.
-2011 ICC World Cup: India beat Bangladesh by 87 runs
The year to remember for all cricket fans. Being Sachin Tendulkar’s final chance at the World Cup, India began their campaign against Bangladesh at Mirpur.
Batting first, Virender Sehwag seemed like a possessed batsman after he hammered the bowlers to score 175 runs. Tournament debutant Virat Kohli marked his presence at the international stage after his unbeaten 100.
India finished their innings at 370/4. Chasing a huge total, Bangladesh crippled with Munaf Patel being the pick of the bowler with 4/48.

-2014 World ICC T20: India beat Bangladesh by 8 wickets
India stormed into the semi-finals of the 2014 World T20 by brushing aside hosts Bangladesh in Mirpur. Brilliant bowling display by R Ashwin (2/15) and Amit Mishra (3/36) crippled Bangladesh’s innings, which produced 138/7 in 20 overs.
India opener Rohit Sharma’s 44-ball 56 and Kohli’s unbeaten 57 off 50 balls scripted an eight-wicket win with nine balls remaining.
-2015 ICC World Cup: India beat Bangladesh by 109 runs
Bangladesh had defied all odds to reach the quarter-finals of a World Cup for the first time. Rohit Sharma’s century (137) ensured India made 302/6.
Bangladesh could not even reach 200 as they were bundled out for 193 runs in 45 overs. The Tigers failed to get partnerships as India were taking wickets at regular intervals.
Bangladesh’s bright start to the tournament came to a crashing end at the hands of India.
