ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 Team India Schedule Updates: Defending champions will play their group stage matches in Mumbai, Delhi, Colombo and Ahmedabad.

Defending champions Team India will open their campaign in the ICC men’s T20 World Cup 2026 in Mumbai with a Group A clash against minnows USA on February 7. The T20 World Cup 2027 will be hosted jointly by India and Sri Lanka.

From Mumbai, Suryakumar Yadav’s side will travel to Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi to take on Namibia in their second Group stage clash against Namibia on February 12.

The tournament co-hosts will then travel to Colombo in Sri Lanka to take on arch-rivals Pakistan on February 15. Pakistan will not play any of their matches in India, according to a deal with the ICC which states that India and Pakistan will only play each other in neutral venues till 2027. The game will take place at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

As a result all of Pakistan’s matches will take place in either Colombo or Kandy in Sri Lanka in the T20 World Cup 2026. India’s fourth and final Group stage game will be against the Netherlands and will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on February 18.

A total of 20 teams will be taking part in ICC T20 World Cup 2026 like the previous edition in 2024. The teams will be divided into four groups of five teams each and top two teams from every group will progress into the Super 8.

If India qualify for the Super 8 stage in T20 World Cup 2026 then their three matches will take place at Ahmedabad, MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai and Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

India’s potential semifinal match if they don’t face Pakistan or Sri Lanka will take place at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai while the final on March 8, if Pakistan don’t make the title clash, will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad like the ODI World Cup 2023 final.
