ICC World Cup 2019: It is the commentators that bring you closer to the game. Now, imagine watching a cricket match at home without any commentary. It would be boring. With the biggest cricketing extravaganza, The Cricket World Cup around the corner, ICC has revealed a 24-member panel that would commentate during the course of the event. There is some Indian interest as well, three from the panel are from India. Among the illustrious list, Sourav Ganguly, Harsha Bhogle and Sanjay Manjrekar find spots.

There is representation from almost all nations. The coveted panel also has former Australian World Cup-winning captain Michael Clarke and Michael Slater besides two Pakistanis in Wasim Akram and Rameez Raja. One from Sri Lanka (Kumar Sangakkara), Zimbabwe (Pommie Mbangwa) and Bangladesh (Athar Ali Khan) are also there.

Not just men, the panel also has three women. Former England cricketer Isha Guha, former Australia cricketer Mel Jones and English commentator Alison Mitchell. With the tournament set to star from May 30 at the Kennington Oval, the excitement can already be felt among fans.

This is going to be a long tournament, compared to previous World Cups where each team plays each team. It is already confirmed that Star Sports will broadcast the games in India and it has =it will also telecast all 10 warm-up games as well between May 24 and 28.

Meanwhile, India will start as one of the frontrunners. The Men in Blue will play their tournament opener against South Africa on June 5. England, the hosts will also be one of the big contenders. The English side is in red-hot form, with both their bowlers and batsmen in good touch.
