I’m Gutted, But my Focus is on Supporting Boys, Says Liverpool’s Adam Lallana After Getting Ruled Out For 3 Months

Liverpool Midfielder Lallana will miss the first three months of the season due to thigh injury

Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana will miss the first three months of the season, delivering a major setback to the Merseyside club as they will without their playmaker for the beginning of the Premier League campaign, as well as the two-legged Champions League play-off against Hoffenheim.

The England international, who is one of the key figures in Jurgen Klopp’s squad, sustained the injury to his thigh during the first half of the Audi Cup final in Munich on Wednesday. Also Check: Neymar Wants to Win ‘Lots of Trophies’ With Paris Saint-Germain

However, despite being miserable at his long layoff, Lallana has offered encouraging words to Liverpool, as in one of his Instagram post, the 29-year-old stated that he is determined to get back as quickly as possible.

Given the seriousness of his injury, Lallana will also miss England’s next two World Cup qualifiers against Malta and Slovenia at the beginning of September and the dark prognosis for Liverpool indicates he will miss the October round of internationals too.

It now looks unlikely that Lallana will feature again for Liverpool before November, but he’ll be keen to make himself available for what promises to be an exciting second half of the campaign.
