Ahead of the 1st Test in Nagpur, former Australian international Ian Healy has predicted the winner of the BGT on certain given conditions. According to him, if ‘fair’ wickets are made in India, then the Aussies will emerge victorious and if spinning tracks are made then the Men in Blue will win in their own backyard.
“I think if they produce fair Indian wickets, that are good batting wickets, to start with, (that) probably spin and spin pretty consistently but spin a long way, late in the match, we (Australia) win,” Healy said on SENQ Breakfast.
“I’m worried about (Mitchell) Starc and (Nathan) Lyon in the first Test. If they’re unfair wickets which I’ve seen in the last series, where balls were jumping ridiculously and sliding down low from day one, I think India play those conditions better than us,” he further added.

The Indians have a very good record in Tests at home and haven’t lost a match in their own backyard since losing to England in 2012 and against the Aussies, they haven’t lost a Test Series in 19 years. Team India will head into the Nagpur Test as firm favourites against a confident Australia team led by Pat Cummins.
