Tilak Varma’s unbeaten 72 guided India to a thrilling two-wicket victory over England in the second T20I of the five-match series in Chennai on Saturday. Brydon Carse was the standout bowler for England, taking three wickets.
Earlier, all but Ravi Bishnoi among India’s seven bowlers managed to take wickets. England’s captain, Jos Buttler, was the top scorer for his side with 45 runs before being dismissed by Axar Patel. Brydon Carse provided some resistance with 31 runs before being run out.
With the win, India now leads the series 2-0. The third T20I will be held next Tuesday in Rajkot.
