IND vs ENG: Virat Kohli Can Take 15 Days Off And Score a 100 on Next Day, Praises Sunil Gavaskar
The second Test starts from August 9 at Lords and some chopping and changing are certainly on the cards. Cheteshwar Pujara could be slotted back into the side in place of Shikhar Dhawan.
Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar has recently ushered praise for the current India captain Virat Kohli. Coming from Gavaskar, this has to be among the biggest compliments that can ever be lavished on Kohli, who is the No 1 test batsman in the world. Speaking to India Today, Gavaskar reckoned Kohli has the capability of taking 15 days off from the game and then come back and get a century.
That is not easy, considering being out of cricket would make one rusty. But Gavaskar reckons nothing of the sort will happen to Kohli. That is a big statement coming from someone, who himself is considered to be the epitome of batsmanship.

“Virat Kohli is such an exceptional talent that he can take 15 days off and score 100 the next day. He is an exceptional talent. So if he takes time off, no quarrel with that at all but he needs to understand that he is exceptional but the others are not,” Gavaskar told India Today.
“I’m very positive still because I believe in this team. Let’s forget what has happened. I believe in this team because I believe that they have the ability. They just need to believe in themselves…the doubts have been created by England after the win in the first Test. So they got to start believing that they can come back and do well,” he concluded.
Earlier, Kohli exorcised the horrors of 2014 with a memorable 149, followed by 51 at Edgbaston. He surely is the biggest silver lining for India at the moment. But one believes that cricket being a team sport, an individual cannot win it on his own. Hence, India would be hoping others fire as well.
