India football captain Sunil Chhetri has lavished the ultimate praise on his cricketing counterpart, Virat Kohli. Chhetri did it after Kohli became the only Indian to slam three consecutive centuries in ODIs. Chhetri took to Twitter and he revealed one of his childhood dreams and explained how Kohli stole it. Chhetri’s tweet read, “As a kid I loved cricket and scoring a ton was a superhuman feeling. You, @imVkohli have stolen that joy from me given how easily you’re smashing centuries at the highest level. Kohli recently became the fastest cricketer to score 10,000 ODI cricket, he reached the landmark in his 205th innings.

He also became the fastest to amass 1000 runs in a calendar year in ODI cricket surpassing Hashim Amla, Kohli got there in his 11th innings. He already has 60+ international centuries and is the fastest to reach there.
Kohli currently has three consecutive ODI centuries to his name and he stands a chance of equalling Kumar Sangakkara’s record of four consecutive tons in ODI cricket. 140, 157* and 107 – all the three scores have come in the ongoing five-match ODI series against the Windies as he became the only Indian to slam three consecutive tons in ODI cricket.
Meanwhile, the ongoing five-match ODI series is locked at 1-1. India beat Windies by eight wickets in Guwahati and then the touring side fought back with vengeance to tie the Vizag ODI in a last-ball thriller and then they beat India by 43 runs at Pune.
The fourth ODI is slated to take place in Mumbai on October 29.
