India football captain Sunil Chhetri is known for giving it his best on the football pitch but is also quite funny and lives life in high spirits. Holding the mic after receiving the award given out by fashion magazine GQ, Chhetri said, “I thought I was receiving the award for the way I dress, the way I do stuff out of the pitch, my personality, the way I look. But now that we’re all convinced, including me, that this award, like all the other awards in my life, is for sports, I’d start by thanking the coaches, the players, the physios, the staff, everyone at the Bengaluru FC and the national team because of whom I won this award and probably all the awards I’ve won before and all the awards I’m going to get.” Also Read - ISL 2020-21: Sunil Chhetri's Penalty Strike Gives Bengaluru FC First Win of Season

Earlier this year, he successfully led the Indian team to the Intercontinental Cup triumph. It surely seems Chhetri has his way with words. It was his speech that brought an entire cricket loving nation to the Mumbai Stadium where India was playing the Intercontinental Cup.
Currently, Chhetri is leading Bangalore FC in the ongoing Indian Super League.
The Chhetri-led outfit opened their account with a narrow 1-0 win over the defending champions Chennaiyin FC at home in what was a revenge for their loss in last season’s finale. However, Bengaluru was held to a thrilling 2-2 draw by Jamshedpur FC in front of their home crowd where Chhetri had scored his first goal in the fifth edition.
