Sunil Chhetri’s team India beat Kenya 3-0 in an Intercontinental Cup 2018 match played at the Andheri Stadium in Mumbai. It was a momentous occasion as Indian captain Sunil Chhetri was playing his 100th international match. From former football legends to the Bollywood fraternity, they were all present in full attendance at the Andheri Sports Complex. After Kenya held India to 0-0 in the first half, it was a penalty by Sunil Chhetri that broke the deadlock and India got on the score-sheet.

The crowd went ballistic at the Stadium once Sunil scored. Three minutes after the first strike, it was Jeje’s turn to find the net and he did it with utmost precision, to provide India a 2-0 lead.

Finally, into added time in the second half it was Sunil Chhetri again, he chipped the ball as the goalkeeper had left his mark. India emerged victorious 3-0. Once the match was done, the euphoric crowd gave the Blue Tigers a Vikings Salute, they totally deserve.

Earlier, Sunil Chhetri had made an appeal where he asked all football fans to turn up in numbers to watch the blue Tigers play and guess what, all the tickets for the match was sold out way before kick-off time.

Meanwhile, India have almost cemented their stake for the knockout stages, Stephen Constantine and India would be hoping the Blue Tigers go all the way.
