India take on Afghanistan in the historic one-off Test against debutantes Afghanistan at MA Chinnaswamy. But what is stealing the show is Virender Sehwag’s witty tweet on KL Rahul. He apparently talks of Rahul Dravid and the number 3 spot. Virender Sehwag says it has taken so long to finally see a Rahul at number 3 for India in Test. Rahul Dravid, known as the wall had made the spot is own. Number 3 is a very special position in a Test match and usually the best batsmen of the respective team bats at.

Dravid held that position for a long time and the it was Cheteshwar Pujara who succeeded Dravid. But because Shikhar Dhawan and Murali Vijay opened, hence KL Rahul had to shift to the number 3 spot.

Here is what Virender Sehwag tweeted:

It seemed Virender Sehwag got nostalgic to see a Rahul at three.

Meanwhile, India won the toss and opted to bat first. Shikhar Dhawan brought up his 7th Test hundred in 87 balls, becoming the sixth ever to do it in the first session of a Test before lunch. But soon after lunch Dhawan was dismissed for a well-made 107.

As we speak, it has started raining as India is 248 for 1 with KL Rahul (33*), Murali Vijay (94*) at the crease and tea has been taken.

Meanwhile, Afghanistan made their Test debut and become the 12th Test nation. It is a historical moment for the team which has overcome odds to come this far.
