1st ODI Sydney India vs Australia: Continuing his good form of red ball cricket, Kuldeep Yadav once again proved his worth in the limited-overs format as he delivered the goods in the first ODI of the three-match series between Australia and India at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG). After dismissing opener Alex Carey, the wily leg-spinner got the big wicket of in-form Shaun Marsh for 54, who looked all set for a big score. Along with Peter Handscomb, Marsh knitted a solid 53-run stand for the fourth wicket. With an aim to speed up the run-rate, the Aussie southpaw decided to break the shackles against Kuldeep and failed to connect. He neither got the height nor the distance to clear the long ropes of SCG. The ball was looking to fall short of fielder Mohammed Shami who made a brilliant dive at deep long on to complete a stunning catch. With this, the pacer showed signs of his incredible match fitness. Talkin about the delivery, it was a flighted ball tempting Marsh to have a go at it. Marsh gets tempted by it and comes down the track and tries to heave it over long on. The bat shakes in his hand and he doesn’t time it well. The ball falls just in front of Rohit Sharma, who dives and takes another good catch. Sharma is having a very good day in the field.
