India vs Australia 1st Test, Adelaide: If there is one batsman whose form is questionable ahead of the first Test against Australia, it has to be KL Rahul. Hence, KL Rahul was seen practicing how to play the short ball from an angle which Mitchell Starc would create. He was spotted practicing with tennis balls. He also has a few tennis racquet throwdowns, which will help him to cope up with the pace of the bowler. Rahul has been included in the 12-man team announced by BCCI on the eve of the match, which means he stands a good chance of making the cut. Even in the tour game, he had the opportunity but managed to score three in the first innings. During the T20Is as well, he did not get among the runs.

Here is the video of Rahul practicing how to counter short balls from an angle which would be created by Starc.

He looked to be ducking under most balls, but once he got on top of the ball and in a good position, he was not shy to pull it but made sure he kept it along the ground.

The pace battery for India includes M Shami, I Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Umesh Yadav have not been picked.
