India vs Australia 2019 ODI: Former India captain MS Dhoni was spotted at Ranchi’s iconic Deori Mandir where he went to take blessings ahead of the ODI series in Australia. The former India captain also is a resident of the place and has been visiting the place since a long time, hence ahead of a big series the decorated former skipper made sure he follows the same ritual when leaving for an overseas tour. Dhoni was wearing a green jacket and looked absolutely committed and at home while going through the rituals. ‘Humble’ Dhoni seemed to be enjoying the entire process as mantras were being chanted in his presence.
Here is the video where you can see Dhoni having a great time at the famous Deori Mandir:
A lot will be expected from MS Dhoni, who is still in the running for making the cut for the ICC Cricket World Cup that will be held later this year. Dhoni has not been in the best of touch off late as he was also booed in England last year, but the team management believes the old-warhorse still has it in him to come good at the biggest stage of it all.
Meanwhile, the Kohli-led India is on the verge of scripting history Down Under. They could become the only Test side to win a series on Australian soil, no other touring Indian side has tasted such success. India leads the ongoing four-match Test series 2-1, with a couple of more days to go in the final Test at Sydney. India are in the driver’s seat in the SCG Test after Pujara, Pant helped India register a mammoth 622/7 in their first innings.
