India vs Australia 2019 ODIs: India opener Shikhar Dhawan posted an inspirational message ahead of the first ODI that is slated to be played at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Dhawan’s post was positive and it highlighted his mindset ahead of the upcoming three-match ODI series. He was dropped from the Test squad which created history by becoming the first ever team to beat Australia in a Test series on their soil. Kohli and his team won the series 2-1. “Every time I step on the field, I strive to do better than the last one. Cricket is a game of skills and I will always work hard on improving myself. Bring it on!” Dhawan captioned the video on Twitter.
Here is the post along with the video of his net session where he looked to time the ball well ahead of the SCG ODI:
India will look to carry the momentum they got during the Test series and look to continue the good habit of winning and for that Dhawan will have a big role to play along with his opening partner Rohit Sharma.
“The squad that plays these 13 ODIs is more or less the same squad that will go to the World Cup. There will be one or two changes, keeping in mind the form and injury concerns over the next few months,” Dhawan’s opening partner Rohit said as quoted by PTI.
“We played a lot of cricket throughout the year, so injuries are bound to happen. And there will be some concerns about form and fitness,” he added.
