India vs Australia 2019: Former Australian legend Shane Warne has quashed all that was written in the media about him disapproving of Ricky Ponting coaching Delhi Capitals in the upcoming season of IPL. Warne had to take to clarify his position on the entire issue. Warne took to Twitter and his post read, “Articles on me saying Punter should be banned from the IPL are simply not true – so stop the BS. When asked, I said it would be a silly move from the BCCI to not allow him to coach Delhi because he’s ass coach of Aust. Apparently, there was no Conflict of Interest as had been cited by some media houses that Warne felt, now that Ponting is the assistant coach of the Australian team for the World Cup, like Ravi Shastri, the former Australian skipper should not be allowed to take any part in IPL. Meanwhile, the upcoming season starts from March 23, the fixtures and venues are not out as yet. Shane Warne will be seen as a part of the Rajasthan Royals unit. India will play Australia in a two-match T20I and five-match ODI series at home from February 24. The limited-overs series will be India’s last international assignment before the World Cup as the IPL 2019 kickstarts from March 23.
