India vs Australia 2019: BCCI announced Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul’s replacement for the ongoing ODI series versus Australia and New Zealand and young guns Shubman Gill and Vijay Shankar have been drafted in the Indian mix. For Gill, this is his first call-up for the senior side. He has been scoring plenty of runs in the domestic circuit and is looked up to as someone who has a game similar to the India captain. Well, that is a big thing to claim as Virat Kohli is the best batsman in the planet currently. But a certain short-arm jab by Gill has shades of Kohli in it and that makes the belief firm.

Here is the shot we are talking about:

Meanwhile, on Friday evening, the Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA) suspended both the players, Hardik, and KL Rahul until further notice and has been sent home from the Australian tour.

It’s a maiden call-up for 19-year-old and is set to make his debut in the ODIs against the team like Australia. He has been in a good form in the domestic circuit, wherein he has smashed more than 1000 runs in 9 matches. In Ranji Trophy also he made his mark by slamming 790 runs in 10 innings at a massive average of 98.75.

The Men in Blue would be hoping to bounce back at Adelaide and square the series 1-1. The second ODI at Adelaide is on January 15.
