India vs Australia 3rd Test Melbourne: Head Coach Ravi Shastri was in high spirits after India scripted history at MCG. Shastri was having beer one arrival to the team hotel. The fans were waiting outside the hotel, once the gates of the team bus opened out came Shatri with a bottle in his hand. It seemed he was delighted after the team managed to beat Australia by 137 runs and take an unassailable 2-1 lead in the ongoing four-match Test series. This is also the first time India has managed to retain the Border-Gavaskar trophy on Australian spoil. Shastri was a part of the 1981 squad which last won at Melbourne, that could have been a reason for his joy, but all in all the entire team was happy and it was evident.

Earlier, Kohli too was in high spirits after the historic win and he broke into a dance step, which excited the fans even further. Some of the team staff went close to the fans and shaken hands, while some just wanted. But, Kohli’s gesture must have made the day of the fans.
Jasprit Bumrah was awarded the Man of the Match and rightly so, for his brilliant display of fast bowling in the match where he scalped nine wickets for the match, which included a career-best six for 33.
Earlier at the MCG ground after the match, an elated Kohli was so happy that he did not think twice before giving his pads to the young fan, who will surely treasure it for the rest of his life.
