India vs Australia 3rd Test Melbourne: Things are getting from bad to worse for the hosts as they lose Travis Head just after lunch and Jasprit Bumrah is at the thick of things. Bumrah did him for speed with a delivery that tailed back in and rattled Head’s stumps. Australia is in deep trouble at 92/5 with their captain Tim Paine and Mitchell Marsh at the wicket. It was full and shaping back into the left-hander, Head was rooted to the crease as he played an ambitious whip, doesn’t cover for the angle, the ball grazed the inside edge and clattered into the middle-stump. Bumrah has been targetting the stumps and it seems to be paying off. Travis Head could manage a mere 20 and the hosts are in trouble as they are facing a threat of a follow-on.

Here is the video of his dismissal:

Earlier, Jasprit Bumrah got the better of Shaun Marsh with the last ball before lunch on Day 3 at Melbourne. That reduced the hosts to 89/4 as Marsh’s 61-ball 19 came to an end. It was just the session India may have dreamt off. It was a slower yorker from Bumrah as Marsh was foxed, his bat did not come down in time as it wrapped Marsh on the pad and the umpire had no hesitation in raising his finger. Bumrah finally has the luck going his way. It was just not a slower ball, but it had some drift as the ball tailed back into Shaun Marsh.

India is in the driver’s seat and one has to applaud Virat Kohli the captain who has been attacking and has had plans for every batsman. Bumrah has had a phenomenal 2018 and one can say he has been the reason for India’s Test success.
